 Dr. Tehmina Badar obtained her  medical doctorate at the University   of Texas Medical Branch  in Galveston (UTMB) in 1993. She continued on at UTMB, completing her  internship in 1994, residency in Internal Medicine in 1996 and fellowship in  Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in 1999. In 1999, she joined the  Pulmonary, Critical Care program at UTMB as Assistant Professor and Sleep  Director.  In 2002 Dr. Badar started her own  practice in Southwest Houston focusing her  outpatient practice on both Pulmonary Diseases and Sleep Medicine.  She is also a member of the Critical Care  group at Memorial Southwest.  In 2004 and again in 2008 she was  nominated Physician of the Year at Memorial   Southwest Hospital  and has been honored as the ICU Physician of the Month. Throughout the past 2 decades, she has been voted one of the top Pulmonologist in the Houston area. She continues to have a strong interest in Sleep Medicine. She has served on numerous  committees including patient safety, credentials, critical care and the  bioethics committee. She continues to focus on quality of care and quality of  life. She is a member of the Harris  County Medical Society, American Thoracic Society, American College  of Chest Physicians, American Association of Sleep Medicine, and American  Medical Association.
 Dr. Badar is Board Certified in  Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep  Medicine. |
